Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, brand new to gardening, or somewhere in between, this episode is packed with practical tips you can actually use.

We’re joined by UMN Extension - Mille Lacs County Master Gardeners Sandy and Tess to talk about what it really means to be a Master Gardener, how you can become one, and some of the biggest lessons they’ve learned from years of growing.

We get into winter sowing with milk jugs, seed snails, Minnesota growing zones, pollinator gardens, dealing with deer and rabbits, growing vegetables in small spaces, preparing your garden for fall, and why experimenting is one of the best ways to become a better gardener.

We also learn why some plants thrive while others struggle, how pollinators impact the food we grow, and why you definitely don’t need to be an expert to start gardening.

If you’ve ever wanted to start a garden, improve the one you already have, or learn more about the Master Gardener program, this episode is for you.

Exciting!!

The Great Northern Regional Trail (GNRT) is coming to Princeton!

The purpose of the Great Northern Regional Trail (GNRT) Alignment Study is to determine preferred alignments for two trail segment gaps along the GNRT corridor that extends from Elk River to Milaca.

We invite you to an upcoming open house to review potential trail alignments and provide input that will help guide the study’s recommendations. Princeton's open house will be on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This open house will be hosted at the Great Northern Depot, which is located at 198 10th Ave S, Princeton MN, 55371.
