I ran across this statistic and it surprised me.

I assumed the main reason small businesses don't have websites would be cost. So when I got the idea for QuincyBiz, I wanted to make it cost less than traditional sites. And it IS cheaper.

But according to this survey, cost ISN'T the biggest reason. The most common answer was essentially, “I don't think I need one.” And a significant number said referrals are their most effective source of new business.

Honestly, I still think a website is a good idea, but if referrals are working and someone genuinely doesn't see a need for a website, that's their decision.

What interests me is the other group: the people who would like a website but haven't gotten one because it feels too expensive, complicated, time-consuming, or just like one more thing to deal with.

That's much more interesting to me, because that is a problem I can actually help solve, through QuincyBiz.com

So, you know a website is a good idea... but maybe you don't want a big expensive time-sucking website project.

You don't want to choose a platform, learn software, write all the copy, figure out hosting, and then wonder what you're supposed to do with the thing.

That's why I created QuincyBiz.

A finished, one-page website, built for you.

You give me the information, photos and links. I organize it, write the content, build the website and host it for you.

$299 for the first year, including hosting. $99/year after that.

It's one page. It's intentionally simple. And you can be proud to share it when someone asks, "Do you have a website?"

This statistic freaked me out when I saw it. That's why I created QuincyBiz.com.

It's smart to have a good link ready before the next person asks.

You have a networking event coming up. You’re sending a proposal. Someone wants to refer you. You’re adding a website address to your email signature or business card.

You don’t need a large website with pages you’ll struggle to fill.

You want one professional page that clearly explains:
~ Who you are
~What you do
~Who you help
~How to contact you

QuincyBiz was created for that.

I write and organize your page, then host and maintain it. Business pages and personal profile pages are available, with no ads or competing businesses shown alongside you.

Your first page is $299 for the first year and $99 to renew annually.
One clear page. One useful link. Ready when the next opportunity comes along.

For a lot of small businesses, the choices have seemed pretty limited:

Build and maintain a full website, and spend more money than you want, or hope that Facebook, Google, or word of mouth brings in the customers.

I created QuincyBiz to offer another option.

For $299, a local business can have a professional web page with its own services, About information, photos, contact information and other details customers want to see, all in one place.

I write it, build it and host it. You don't have to learn WordPress, keep software updated, or become your own webmaster.

You get one web address you can put on your business card, page, Google Business Profile, email signature, advertising, or anywhere else you promote your business.

Sometimes you don't need a big website. You just need a good place for people to check you out.

Looking specifically for services, pricing, or contact information on someone's QuincyBiz page? You can now jump straight to those sections.

I've added section navigation to the home page and example pages. On a computer, the links stay available as you scroll. On a phone, a small “Menu” button in the upper-right corner opens your choices, then the menu closes after you select one.

The idea came out of my ACA Business Club presentation Friday. Several attendees said they disliked having to do so much scrolling on their phones. Fellow member and web designer Nathan suggested this improvement. Thanks, Nathan!

Try it on the example Business Page:

𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲? Not ideal...

Facebook can be useful for sharing updates, photos and news.

But it was never designed to be your website.

If someone wants to know what services you offer, your hours, your background, or the best way to contact you, they may have to hunt for the information.

And if your page hasn’t been updated in months, that can create another problem: people may wonder whether you’re still active.

You also don’t control what else they see while they’re there. Your competitors are on Facebook too, and visitors may be shown ads for similar businesses.

A QuincyBiz page gives people one clear place to learn about you. Your services, About information, photos, hours, links and contact details are organized and easy to find.

And you don’t have to keep posting just to make the page look current.

Facebook can help people find you. Your own page gives them somewhere to learn more about you. And it doesn't cost a fortune!

Could not having a website actually cost a small business customers?

Apparently, yes.

In a recent national survey, 39% of consumers said they had decided not to visit or buy from a business specifically because it didn't have a website.

That doesn't mean every small business needs a big website. Sometimes people just want someplace online where they can check you out, see what you do, and know how to reach you.

That's one of the reasons I created QuincyBiz.

You may not need a full website. And you may not want one more thing to learn, update, host, manage, or worry about.

I get it! And that’s one reason I created QuincyBiz.

You give me the information. I help organize and write it, build the page, host it, and handle the website details. And yes, I'll help you decide what's important to say, or NOT say.

You get a professional page you can share with customers, contacts, or anyone who wants to learn more about you or your business.

And you don’t have to become your own webmaster.

I created a QuincyBiz Personal Profile Page for myself, too.

My professional life doesn’t fit neatly into one job title or one social media profile. I have Your Friend on the Web, QuincyBiz, 27 years of website and online marketing experience, community involvement, past projects and quite a few other things that are part of my story.

My Personal Profile Page gives me one place to bring those different pieces together.

I already owned DianaRatliff.com, which previously redirected visitors to LinkedIn. It now takes them directly to my QuincyBiz profile. That gives me an easy web address to share without maintaining a separate website.

A separate domain isn’t required for a QuincyBiz page, but it's a great idea. If you already own one, I’ll explain how to redirect it to the new page at no additional charge. If you don't have one, I'll help you choose one and tell you where I register them.)

See how I’m using my own Personal Profile Page:
https://DianaRatliff.com/ redirects to my QuincyBiz page.
