Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 9/10
One of my favorite Wisconsin dirt tracks to race at. Been with the Wisconsin Wingless, but now more with the Badger Midget.
Track Surface 8.5/10
Broken record, like me a track hard to get ahold of. If this was Plymouth 2020-2023-ish, 10 out of 10. Hammer down in qualifying, heat racetrack was not as narrow as other places, and feature was a little rough (which I do enjoy racing). But all in all, still a great track surface to run on. Multiple lanes and corner combinations... Which is all a driver could ask for.
Track Shape 10/10
Bullring to the max! Wide even in a sprint car. Love the short straights with the little banking. If I were to build a track, it would be modeled after Plymouth's shape.
Food 9/10
My go to is the hamburger (if you haven't noticed) and I am not a foodie. Burgers still good and priced right.
Restrooms 8/10
Porta-potties on the pit side and running water on the spectator side. The grandstand restrooms are under the grandstands, which is super easy to get too. On the pit side the porta-potties are a little spread out.
Pit Area 7.5/10
Amazing pits, a lot of space being on the backstraight and off of turn 3 and 4. The only issue is coming off the track. Pit entrance is right before turn 3, come up over the banking and dumps you right next to the pit stands. If someone isn't paying attention (at least once a night), they are walking right out in front of you.
Safety Crew 9/10
Great safety crew, Johnny on the spot. Also, the track walls are dang near all the way around the track. Just the opening for the pit in turn 3 and track entrance is in turn 1.
Track Officials 10/10
Never had an issue with the PDTR track officials. Friendly and get the answers I need pretty quickly, even if they do not know the answer.
Pace of Events 8/10
Rating this past weekend. Usually PDTR is pushing, pushing, pushing (as you will see in the next rating why). But they had some scoring issues in the main before us (so I am told). Slowed the pace down a bit. But with a hard curfew, PDTR don't play around with un-needed caution laps
Fan Passion 10/10
Not only are the spectators passionate about their racing. The neighbors are too. The backstraight pits nose up to people's backyards. They have decks built to see over the trailers and whoever that is with the horn. You rock!!!
Push Trucks 10/10
Great pushes all night, they push through until we wave them off. Perfect number of trucks too, where 18-24 cars can be pushed off in under 2 minutes.
If you have never been to PDTR, to me its a must see at least once in your racing career. Or as a fan, you got to stop by for a night.
