A private charter across the Cape Fear River, a surprise proposal on Bald Head Island, and one of the most historic spots on the North Carolina coast made for an unforgettable evening 💍🌊

This proposal took place at the iconic Captain Charlie’s Cottages on East Beach — a trio of historic 1903-era lightkeepers’ homes and the oldest standing homes on Bald Head Island. The setting could not have been more perfect for such a special moment.

Huge shoutout to 5 More Minutes Charters in Southport for the private ride over to the island and helping make the surprise come together seamlessly. Arriving to Bald Head Island by boat just adds something extra special to the experience. ⚓️

So grateful to capture moments like these in places that mean so much to people. Bald Head Island truly never disappoints
