Hey y’all! It’s the first day of Women’s History month! So let’s start with some facts. And since we are coming off the heels of Black History Month, let me start off with some facts about Black women.

✅ 17% of Black women are in the process of starting or running new businesses 👏🏾👏🏾 compared to 10% of white women and 15% of white men. (Harvard Business Journal)

✅ Black women only make up 12% of the female population in the USA, but make up over 50% of the number of Black Americans receiving a post secondary education (HBCU Buzz)

✅ Black woman who have raised 1 million from VCs as more than doubled from 34 Black women in 2018

We are starting businesses, we are educated and we are moving into spaces that we never have before (startup world)

We have come along way and we have a long way to go! But the first, in the words of Snoop Dog,

You are spending way too much time second guessing your abilities, telling yourself you can't do this or you dont have what it takes, looking at other people doing the same thing you are doing and comparing yourself to them. Wondering who is going to want what I have to offer? How can I do this?

We are going to address that right now.

1) That voice you keep hearing in your head may not even be your voice. You may be hearing someone else's fears being projected on you.

2) Or it could be your voice. But remember, that is the old you. Trying to come back and rear its ugly and re-enter your life again.

Death to those voices in your head keeping you from being obedient and focused on the plan.

Remember, It never on you its in you. It always has been. 💪🏾💪🏾⁣
