Thank you to our first responder Natalie for going above and beyond yesterday. Natalie responded to five different rescue calls and drove from Carolina Beach and back multiple times to capture and transport birds. She even went out in the dark last night to look for this injured Brown Pelican and was finally able to bring her in this morning (thank you to Pam for capturing!).

If you feel inspired by Natalie’s efforts, we are currently recruiting first response volunteers for baby season, our busiest of the year. The more trained volunteers we have available, the faster and further we can respond to birds in need. Please message us for more information!
