✨Remembering how we would shoot congressional holiday troop shout outs at the Cannon bldg. Completed in 1908, it’s the oldest House building.

✨Can I just say I loved being a part of this crew!They were always prepared and not just with our RED camera, I mean we had loads of hand sanitizer.

✨True pre-Covid story -someone would always catch a nasty cold after shaking hands with all of Congressional members. 🤣😳😫

✨This election week is bringing up all sorts of Washingtonian memories for me, but also a further understanding of what I need to do currently.

"Growing up I don't ever remember seeing a woman building things.  I'm sure they were around but it wasn't something I was exposed to. I read somewhere that gender biases start forming at 5 years old and I believe that.

One of my goals in life is to raise strong, independent & confident children who know they can accomplish anything they put their minds to. And I want to make sure my daughters especially know girls are just as smart and capable as boys.

This was the perfect opportunity to get them involved in a woodworking project and they had so much fun. I used some scrap plywood and one 1x6x8 ft long piece of wood.  I let them decorate it and then let them help me put it together.  They loved it:) Us girls really do run the world! 💜 &me "
