Today, I turn 28 🤎
Every year feels like it moves faster than the last, but it also feels like I keep collecting little lessons along the way—some big, some small, all worth holding onto. So here are 28 things I’ve learned in my 28 years:
1. Money comes and goes
2. Shaping my children’s childhood is one of the most important, sacred things I’ll ever do
3. The grass is greener where you water it
4. Blood and family don’t mean much if they don’t value you
5. Only do work you love—work that reflects who you are and who you want to become
6. Show up as the version of yourself you dream of being, and little by little, you’ll become her.
7. Marketing only works when it’s true to you. Connection is what actually matters.
8. The color brown is criminally underrated.
9. Diet sodas might be questionable, but joy counts for something, too.
10. Natural stones make the most beautiful jewelry.
11. Take the photo. Take the video. You’ll never regret it.
12. Reading fiction feels like an exhale—sometimes better than nonfiction ever could.
13. Slow down and savor the mundane. It’s where the magic actually lives.
14. Loving yourself carries you farther than you realize (still working on this one).
15. Your health—and your time—are two of the most valuable things you’ll ever have.
16. Trends come and go, but being unique lasts longer. Still, if you love a trend, lean in.
17. Gratitude shifts literally everything.
18. Community is more powerful than competition—build people up
19. Success without joy isn’t really success
20. Creating art is always worth it
21. Motherhood is the most beautiful work of all.
22. Rest is productive.
23. Vulnerability is strength.
24. Nothing good grows in comparison.
25. A well-cooked meal can heal a hard day.
26. Your voice is worth hearing, even if it shakes.
27. Beauty is everywhere when you slow down long enough to see it.
28. Life is meant to be lived—not perfected.
Here’s to 28—more lessons, more joy, more slowing down to actually live it all. 🤎
