A year ago Richmond voted her Best Bartender. Last Thursday she poured at the party itself.

Best Fest, Style Weekly night for the Best of Richmond, inside VPM’s new building on Broad. Purple light everywhere. Three bars, one of them a block of ice with the Style logo carved straight through it.

My client was working. So was I.

Camera in hand, and every post leading into that night written before the promo ever went up. That is what a Fractional CMO does. Someone already three steps ahead of your biggest moment.

10 years in. Just getting started.

A decade ago I started Saint MGMT with a laptop, a point of view, and more nerve than proof. This month, we turn ten.

In my head, this anniversary was going to be a whole thing — a campaign, mood boards, the works. Then real life happened: client work, launches, my kid, running the business. The bandwidth wasn't there. I used to be hard on myself about that.

This year I'm choosing something different: ten years is the celebration. Showing up for a decade is the campaign.
