There has been great growth in the STEM fields for minorities/females with many areas to go for future successes for all. The technology field is an area of great earning potential with non-traditional educational paths that can change many BIPOC communities.
Basically, one does not need to go to a traditional 4-year college/university to find an education and a lucrative career path.
Data of Note B/T 2011 - 2021:
1.) Fewer women than men work in STEM occupations. Their share of the STEM workforce grew at a faster rate. Between 2011 and 2021, the number of women in the STEM workforce increased 31%, from 9.4 million to 12.3 million.
2.) In 2021, White workers—at 22.4 million—represented the largest race and ethnic group in the STEM workforce
3.) Ethnic workers: Hispanic (5.1 million), Asian (3.6 million), Black (3.0 million), and American Indian or Alaska Native (216,000). Hispanic STEM workers experienced the greatest numeric growth over this period—2.0 million—increasing from 3.1 million to 5.1 million

The Black Tech Gala will be another elegant night of fun, live entertainment, dining, dancing FOR ALL, and of course fundraising to help support the BIPOC communities and bring more awareness about the benefits of technology, and amplify and assist in technology career opportunities. This is a great fun atmosphere to network for all industries.
