Legit 3D Prints Using 3D printing to save money around the firehouse. I've had some interest from a couple of fire departments, so I made a page to showcase some of my work.

This was a print I did last year for the DC's car. I was able to utilize the computer mount holes in the Havis center console for dual wireless charging phone mounts, with a grommet to hide the wires. I've been told Havis saw it and was very interested in the design. Idk what that means but I had fun designing it. Every project has its own challenges, and coming up with unique solutions is apparently what I'm good at.

Before and after the very long and tedious task of designing, printing, redesigining, and reprinting organizers for our drug drawer. Most things are labeled with quantities so you don't have to reference the check sheet, and it's organized in a way that expiration dates are visible

Working on cleaning up this Engineer's cabinet. When we first got the rig I made the mallet holder. We got some new foam, which none of the foam spanners worked with it, so I designed one that would fit the new ones. I'm not sure if the new cancer free foam has a different size cap or why it's different. After all the spare nozzles got added, I wanted to make some nozzle mounts. I tried a couple different wall mounting methods, but I think this one is the winner. Alternatively, the 5th picture is a space saving option.

Next up, I would like to make some wall mounts for the hard suction spanner, the hydrant wrench, the foam siphon, and just clean up the shelf overall.

As far as materials. I played with several materials, and the best option ended up being a 68D TPU. The standard filaments were too hard, and if someone pulled the nozzle instead of lifting it up, it would break. I then tried a 95A TPU, because the layer adhesion is phenomenal, but I was worried it wasn't rigid enough to keep the nozzle upright, should the play pipe fall over. Finally, I tried the 68D TPU, which is probably similar to a PLA flex and as hard as Delrin. Similarly great layer adhesion, and still really rigid, but able to take enough flex that it shouldn't be a problem.

The cadets have these style helmets, and the visor mounts tend to break. I was able to draw it up in CAD on my lunch and have printed it in a couple different materials and orientations. If all works out, I'd like to have them annealed in PET-CF. This gives them a temperature resistance up to about 480°F with really good strength. The material can be difficult to work with when it comes to removing support material, but I'm experimenting with some workarounds for that. These will be kept on hand to fix them if they break again

We got our new ambulance back from the shop and now I can finish working on it. The biggest problem is that the trash can is under a seat, and not accessible from any door. I designed and 3D printed a trash can right by the door that doesn't take up any more space than the O2 cylinder does. This is a very convenient fix to an annoying problem.

I also have some 4 lead separators on all the monitors, I added a phone mount that allows you to grab the phone from the side door, or from the captain's seat. I'm currently working on the drug drawer, and giving everything a place. The idea is to have everything labeled and/or color coordinated. Next up is probably a mount for the thermometer.
