To my best friend's baby girl....

I hope you always know how beautiful you are...inside and out...whether you’re wearing your mommy’s wedding dress or just being your sweet, silly self. I hope you grow up never questioning how deeply you’re loved or how much joy you bring into every room. You have the best smile and the most contagious laugh… and I hope you always keep both.

I also hope you always realize what an incredible mama you have. You may not understand it right now, but this photoshoot means more to her than you’ll ever know. There are tears rolling down her face as looks through these… and honestly, mine too. Getting to be part of your life and watch you grow is such a gift.

One day, when you look back at these photos, I hope you don’t just see a dress. I hope you see the love that surrounds you and the way your mom looks at you like you’re her whole world.

I’ll always be cheering you on — through every season, every dream, and every milestone still to come. 💛

When I do outdoor mini sessions, I charge a premium for the slots right before sunset, and this is why. The light is golden, even, soft… no harsh shadows, no glare. The way the sun filters through the trees is absolutely breathtaking.

This is also why, when I schedule full family sessions, I always aim for that last hour before sunset. It’s the kind of light that makes skin glow, colors pop, and memories feel a little more magical.

If you’ve ever wondered why photographers chase golden hour...this is it. And if you want that dreamy glow in your photos, grab one of those sunset spots when they pop up. They’re worth every bit.
