Long post ahead. We got power back today and I am SO thankful. 🙌

First—thank you to every lineman and every single person who has worked nonstop in our communities this past week. Y’all have been absolute lifesavers, and I truly don’t think people will ever forget what y’all did for us. ⚡️

Now… in true me fashion, I was sick the last three days and honestly thought I was dying. 😅 After a trip to the doctor yesterday (PTL Ripley has a clinic open on Sundays so no ER trip), they confirmed I was not dying and have me on the mend. I’m still extremely weak after barely eating for 3 days, but I’m getting a little stronger each day.

With that being said, I’ll be easing back into work over the next few days. Hopefully we’ll be somewhat prepared for Batesville in a few weeks! 🤞

I’m also extra grateful that because of Hatchie Bottom Outfitters we had a generator (we got it when we started this venture for shows that don’t offer power) to keep our fridge and freezer cold. It’ll probably need a good servicing before our next show—even though we only ran it during the day—but I’m thankful we had it when it mattered.

And y’all… my sweet daddy even loaned his small generator for someone we knew in need… and he had it on a coondog that’s about to have puppies 😂 If you know him, you know those dogs are a BIG deal!

This storm has been heavy—physically and emotionally—but it has also reminded me just how strong our people are. The way North Mississippi shows up for each other is something special. North Mississippi is built different. ❤️

If you’re still without power… I know you are beyond over it. 😩 But don’t give up—if they haven’t gotten to you yet, they’re coming. You’re not forgotten. 🙌⚡️

Many of you may not know—Hatchie Bottom Outfitters is based in Ripley, MS (Tippah County), and our area has been hit hard by this winter storm.

We’ve been without power and water since Saturday night. It’s been a rough few days, but we’re thankful to have gas heat and a generator, and our hearts are with everyone who’s dealing with even worse right now.

We do plan to be at the UKC Winter Classic in a few weeks, but I know we won’t be as prepared as I’d hoped—so please be patient with us as we get caught back up.

Thank y’all from the bottom of my heart for supporting our small business. ❤️
