As I mentioned yesterday, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to partner up with Allett Wallets to try some of their products out. I spent the day carrying the nylon edition Hybrid Card Wallet (in Cala Green) with their Micro Pen in the spine--and I really like it so far! The pen gives just enough rigidity and weight to the spine of the wallet that I almost feel like it needs since it's so lightweight and thin. You don't want your pants sagging from the weight of your wallet, but I think there's also some grey area where you need to know that it's in your pocket, and I think the pen and a few cards make a nice balance.
There are two card sleeves on the left interior, the clear ID window on the right side for your drivers license or most used credit card, and a nice little pocket on the exterior. The website says this card wallet can carry up to 10 cards at a time, along with the micro pen. I think 10 might defeat the purpose of going to more of a minimal wallet like this, but it can do it if you need to. I'd prefer to carry just a few debit and credit cards, my drivers license, and a little folded cash just in case--which, by the way, is SO important these days! We're one cyber attack or hardware failure away from being in a really bad spot, and having a little bit of emergency cash on you can go a long way. While we're on that topic, don't forget that these wallets are RFID blocking as well--so you don't have to worry about getting your cards jacked.
All in all, I have to say the quality is definitely a pleasant surprise. We'll see how they hold up over time, but I don't have any doubts that they can take all the abuse you can throw at them.
