Update: Got hitched in Pakistan to the reason I started my business in the first place ♥️✨

It’s all about storytelling.

I’ve been reflecting on how I want to show up online and why I have fallen in love with certain clients and copywriting projects along the way.

And I realized that I have no desire to restrict myself to write for specific industries or niches.

And I have no desire to only offer services and resources to one specific ideal client.

The projects and clue that I have loved working with have the following in common ⬇️

They have intriguing, relatable, open-hearted stories behind their brands and offers. And they’re not afraid to share them.

When we’re bingeing a show on Netflix, we’re doing it because we care about the characters.

We’re invested in their journeys.

We need to know what happens to them next.

We deeply care. Even if they’re fictional.

Now relate that back to your content and copywriting.

When you add a level of vulnerability and relatability through sharing your story…

Your triumphs.

Your struggles.

Your lessons.

Your mistakes.

Your copy AUTOMATICALLY is more powerful and effective because your readers will want to keep coming back to learn about you.

I’m guilty of not always sharing as much as I could out of fear when it comes to my own story.

But after realizing that the best copy I’ve written for clients always goes back to who they are and why they’re here (instead of just relying on marketing strategy and persuasion)…

Me after taking 10 days off of posting on IG ♥️🥲

Let’s skip the boring intro and get into what’s been going on, shall we?

✨After my Copy Kickstart launch, I felt drained and unmotivated. I was comparing myself and my business to other copywriters and marketers and just felt *blah*

✨I’ve also been confused about the direction my business is headed in because as someone who is sensitive to FOMO, I feel like I gotta do all the things to be successful.

✨I know I want to expand my skills but I’ve been struggling on deciding what my next level of knowledge expansion is. Too many ideas, not enough hours.

✨ I’m getting married in July, in a different country, and it’s more mentally overwhelming than I anticipated. I thought I would have more energy and will in me to be productive here but as someone who really isn’t into wedding planning, I am not always at my best.

✨ I wanted to be present for my bachelorette which was last weekend (this picture was taken there, I had a blast 💥)

✨ I was struggling to figure out what I wanted to focus on in business in this moment. From services to products to content, I have overextended myself and it’s hard to dial it back in

✨The comparisonitis has been WILD. I was constantly seeking validation from other experts and coaches in the space for my ideas or decisions and it was crushing my soul.
