🥫 Giving Back, Together. 💙

In honor of National Food Bank Day, we’re proud to highlight a recent day of service with our team at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg!

At Montenegro, every employee receives 4 hours of paid volunteer time each year to support organizations and causes that make a difference. Recently, members of our team used those hours together, volunteering alongside the Feed My Starving Children team and helping wherever needed.

It was a rewarding experience and one our team genuinely enjoyed. It gave us an opportunity to step outside of our normal day-to-day, work together in a different way, and contribute to an organization making an incredible impact.

Community Impact is one of our core values, and experiences like this give us the opportunity to put that value into action.

A big thank you to our Monte team for volunteering their time and bringing the same teamwork and energy they show every day. And, as the sign at FMSC reminded us… not all superheroes wear capes—some wear hairnets! 💙🙌

Yesterday, our Director of Sales, Fernando Fabela, attended the 2026 Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Conference & Expo at Navy Pier.

Fernando spent the afternoon exploring the exhibit hall, connecting with local businesses, and learning more about the organizations supporting growth throughout Illinois.

Events like this provide a valuable opportunity to build new and existing relationships, exchange ideas, and celebrate the diverse businesses that help our communities thrive.

Today, the Montenegro team stepped away from the office for a picnic at the Petal Porch in Roselle.

Everyone contributed to our potluck, bringing plenty of amazing food to share. More importantly, it gave us a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather, catch up, laugh, and spend time together outside of our usual workday.

Moments like these remind us that strong teams are built through connection, collaboration, and simply making time for one another.

Today, our team welcomed the Village of Roselle Fire Marshal Mark Bozik for an internal Lunch & Learn focused on storm safety, fire safety, and basic first aid.

Mark walked us through practical information that can make a meaningful difference during an emergency, including:
🔥 How to properly use a fire extinguisher
🔥 How to check the gauge to confirm an extinguisher is still ready for use
🔥 The safest locations in our building during a fire or tornado
🔥 Why every household should choose a designated meeting place in case of a fire, such as the mailbox
🔥 When smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be replaced

Safety begins with preparation. We appreciated the opportunity to ask questions, learn together, and feel better equipped to respond both at work and at home.

One of our favorite community traditions returns this weekend, and we're excited to be part of the fun once again!
