Team Veronica – Walk Update

The official LUNG FORCE Walk has been transferred to a virtual format this year, but our team will still proceed with our walk to honor Veronica. We will gather by the Detroit Zoo gate at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 28.

As always, we will be walking in memory of Veronica, proudly wearing our teal and gold butterfly MiRushka – Team Veronica T-shirts. Please note that each participant will need to purchase their own zoo ticket for entry.

Together, we will continue to honor Veronica’s legacy and support the fight against lung cancer.

We walk to honor the life of Veronica Mkrtumyan, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who bravely fought a rare NRG1 gene mutation for four years. Her courage, kindness, and unwavering faith remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
This is the second year we walk without our beloved Veronica by our side, and we dedicate ourselves in her memory to supporting those who are navigating this difficult path and to raising funds for research into this rare gene mutation.
