What makes a painting beautiful?

It’s not just the individual colors, it’s how they relate to one another. The hues, values, and levels of saturation work together to create a sense of harmony.

When one color feels disconnected, we notice it. When the colors belong together, the result feels balanced, natural, and pleasing to the eye.

The same principle applies to personal color analysis.

Each of us is made up of a unique combination of color qualities. When the colors we wear reflect those qualities, they create harmony with our natural features rather than competing with them.

In many ways, we’re all walking paintings each with our own unique palette.

A little more about me while I’m enjoying some vacation time. ☀️🌿

My name is Andrea Nicole, and I thought I’d share a few things about myself beyond color analysis.

I’m a passionate Ta**us Sun, Capricorn Moon, and Virgo Rising, a true triple earth sign through and through. If you’ve followed me for a while, that probably doesn’t come as a surprise. I find beauty in the natural world and feel most at home surrounded by trees, mountains, flowers, and wild spaces. Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers.

Before becoming a color analyst, I spent 10 years working as a teacher. Education has always been close to my heart, and I still love helping people discover something new about themselves.

I am also the proud mother of two beautiful girls who inspire me every day and remind me to see the world with wonder.

Many of you know me through my work as a Tarot reader, a path I’ve followed for years and continue to practice today. Mysticism, symbolism, intuition, and the unseen aspects of life have always fascinated me. I’ve always felt drawn to a little bit of magic.

Music is another big part of my story. I spent many years singing in bands, performing music influenced by blues, funk, soul, and jazz. Being on stage taught me confidence, creativity, and how to connect with people through art.

If I discover a topic that interests me, I tend to dive all the way in. Color analysis is one example, but certainly not the only one. I love learning, researching, and following my curiosity wherever it leads.

And yes, I am a mushroom enthusiast. 🍄 My partner and I once operated a medicinal mushroom chocolate business from home, and it’s something we’d love to revisit one day. I’m endlessly fascinated by plants, fungi, herbal traditions, and the healing wisdom found in nature.

These days you’ll mostly find me talking about color, beauty, personal expression, and helping people discover the colors that bring them to life. But behind the drapes and palettes is someone who loves nature, music, learning, mysticism, family, and all things beautiful.

Thank you for being here and following along. I’d love to know something about you, too. ✨

Day 1 in La Ribera, Mexico 🌸🌊

June is such an interesting time in nature. Spring’s influence hasn’t completely disappeared, yet summer is beginning to take hold. The landscape feels softer, lighter, and gently cool in places, reminding me of the harmony found in Light Summer palettes.

As I explore my family’s garden, I’m noticing color everywhere—the flowers, the sky, the water, and the subtle transitions between seasons. Inspiration has a way of finding us when we slow down enough to look.

I’m taking a small break from my usual color analysis content, but I’ll still be sharing little moments, observations, and color discoveries along the way. After all, color is everywhere. ✨
