Write an informative Restaurant Review
I work with Restaurant owners, helping manage their Social Media Marketing and Advertising. We use Reviews as a management tool. People can tell the difference between an honest review and a revenge review.
My suggestion is… if you are going to write a review, plan ahead and consider using the outline below to provide a nice informative review that will help the business owner improve consumer experience and provide good information for consumers.
Suggestion for writing an Informative Restaurant Review
1. Review Structure
Before you write a restaurant review, it is important to know how to structure the review and provide lots of detail.
Write complete sentences and use plenty of descriptive words and phrases. Write it in chronological order that includes from the moment you enter the restaurant to when you pay the bill and leave. Describe the restaurant in the present tense and in the second person.
2. Pay Attention and take photos
Make note of date and time that you entered and exited the restaurant. Note details, such as appearance and cleanliness, friendliest of the staff, how long you had to wait to be seated, busy or slow..? Atmosphere of the restaurant. Is it friendly and relaxing..?
When you receive the meal, note if the food is cooked properly. Does it have good flavor..? Savory, spicy and what is portion size..? Make sure that you describe in detail and take photos.
When making your recommendation, include the total cost of the meal, was it a good value..?
When ending the review, make a statement about whether or not you would return.
My hope is that this helps at least one person feel good about writing a nice informative review. I know business owners appreciate them..!
