I asked ChatGPT what the most ridiculous question I’ve asked all year was, fully expecting a harmless answer.
Instead, I got diagnosed as “Type A perfectionism in a cardigan.” 😆
Apparently planning a vacation with four VRBO comparisons, a full itinerary, food and coffee mapping, backup plans, and a printable version was… a bit much.
Multiple options. Clear plans with built-in spontaneity (which is honestly the funniest part).
But also… very on brand.
It was a moment of self-awareness where I thought,
“Oh. This is my personality.”
And then it hit me.
This is exactly how I work.
I don’t just react.
I do my best to reduce pressure before it ever shows up.
I don’t just “help.”
I build structure so things can run without constant energy leaks.
Some people thrive on spontaneity.
I thrive on systems that make space for it.
Still laughing at myself.
Still organizing everything in spreadsheets and Google folders.
Some habits are emotional support systems.
Maybe in 2026 I’ll learn that joy doesn’t actually require this much control.
But also… I’m not mad at her. She gets things done.
If you’re also someone who packs snacks, chargers, backup plans, and emotional preparedness into every experience, we’re probably friends.
