Looking back at some fond memories of December… as there’s not much left of it 😛 — continuing on our annual family tradition of performing at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie! This was L’s fifth time performing at Carnegie ❤️❤️❤️ B’s second time performing bagpipes, third time performing alto sax… and I need to double check how many times for piano 😌 — mamma had just flown back from Austin the night before! The days were full (we had to arrange two separate sitters for our baby just to make it work)… and worked it did!!!

It was… indeed — the perfect Fall riding down for B and Mr. Huckleberry Finn! This was the summer of cantering and we can’t wait for this Sunday’s Long Island Classic where B will be doing the walk trot canter for the very first time! 🐴 🐎 🥕 🥕

P.S. How funny are those analogies! To chomp carrots like a grinder… 😆😆😆

Catching up on posts as May whizzes by. ✨✨✨ This was Blaike’s inaugural performance of the Highland Pipes at Carnegie Hall on Saturday (May 10, 2025). These pipes were not easy to tune on stage but he managed! Proud of this guy! (who’s not so little anymore 😛) Waipo and Gong Gong came to support — as we celebrate B’s Scottish heritage from his Father’s side 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Easter weekend was kind of perfect as we savored our first full weekend spent in Manhattan since Fall (before the boys’ ski programs kicked off in full swing and before the Spring Break shenanigans). We laughed, we dined, we stopped to smell the flowers… and most importantly — we saw our lovely friends and enjoyed each others’ company. It was… in Lukey’s words “puuuuuuurfect” — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Plus, the Easter Bunny came!!! 🐇💕💖🌷🌸🐰✨🐣🐥

Highlights from the boys’ performance on Friday {April 11, 2025} at the Kammermusiksaal (Chamber Music Hall) — part of the two modern concert halls built in the Kulturforum of Berlin (and home of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra). 🎶🎵

The acoustics in the music hall were fantastic… and the tent-like roof structure (apparently controversial when they were built) were also quite cool and considered classics of modern architecture today in Berlin 💖

As with all performances — this one was not without some last minute trials (such as forgetting our tickets back at the hotel and arriving “late” to their own concert performance 🤪). Though all of the real-time commotion likely helped to distract the boys from any last minute stage jitters 😆😌
