Hello and welcome to the Dance Hall & Country Line Dance Hub!
We're thrilled to have you join our community of honky-tonk, dance hall, and country/line dance club enthusiasts. This group is designed for owners and managers to share advice, exchange ideas, and provide support to each other in all aspects of running a successful dance venue. While our main focus is on country music, we also embrace other genres of music that can be danced to, depending on the location. Our focus is on traditional styles of country dances, including two-step, country-style waltz, line dancing, various styles of swing dancing, and other types of pattern partner dancing.
What is a Honky-Tonk?
A honky-tonk traditionally refers to a type of bar or dance hall that offers live music, dancing, and entertainment. While it is often associated with country music, honky-tonks have historically featured a variety of music genres that people can dance to, including rock 'n' roll, blues, and folk. This diverse range of music helps create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can enjoy and appreciate different styles of dance and music.
Please feel free to introduce yourself, share your experiences, ask questions, and contribute to the discussions. Together, we can create an amazing network that benefits everyone involved.
Let's dance our way to success!
