🌹 🇺🇸

It's raining today in the Willamette Valley after weeks of sunshine. I love the rain. I'm grateful that heaven's tears found their way to us on this Memorial Day. Thank you to all who served and made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our rights and freedoms, and thank you to the families who carry forward their legacy. ❤️‍🩹 Gone but never forgotten.

"Messed with the wrong b*tch in the wrong era." 💥 The time to be silent is over. I've been slowly gaining courage to share why everything changed circa 2016 and hopefully offer encouragement and a safe place to land for those who have had similar experiences. This isn't about blame - it's about growth and owning my role in what happened. ("Wherever you go, there you are.”—Thomas a Kempis, Imitation of Christ, ca. A.D. 1440.) To realize that 2026 means 10 years... 10 years is a long time to allow my own decisions prevent me from pursuing that which I love, that which gives me life and meaning and purpose. Words. Writing. Poetry. Stories. A community to share them with.... I hunger, thirst, crave to pour into words again. Believe me, it wasn't writer's block, for I have plenty of content. (Lord help me.) I just think that sometimes your heading gets redirected so hard in the storm that it takes you a beat to realize you're headed in a completely different direction and half your crew is missing and you have no other choice but to suck it up and sort it out. And oftentimes, if your eyes remain open, the good Lord offers you a safe haven to moor and weigh anchor and rest. ❤️‍🩹 Iron sharpens iron and I'd be doing my fellow humans a disservice if I held back from sharing my story in hopes of helping others feel less alone. The interesting part is if I didn't have documented proof of it, you would think it was fiction. Buckle up, friends, is cracking her knuckles. "Honey, I've changed so much since I last saw ya...." 🔥 (Lyrics from "Little Girl Gone" by CHINCHILLA. This song hits home.)

It hit me: Letters! Care packages! That was how to bridge the pandemic distance and be an ally.

For every person who fills the role of "mom." 💕 You are loved and appreciated. 🤗

Happy to ALL. To YOU.... 👇

To each person who has ever filled the role of "mom." To the single dads who do it all. To the single mothers who take on everything. To the aunts and uncles who spoil with abandon. To the cousins who babysit at every family gathering. To the teachers who manage 30 at a time. To the empty nesters. To the kids who had to grow up too fast, and be a parent to their siblings. To the caregivers. To the barren women and men who ache for a miracle. To the big-hearted parents of fur-babies. To the people who adopt. To the grandmas and grandpas who pass on invaluable wisdom. To the ones who love and support unconditionally, even when the children are not their own. To each person...mother or father or stand-in...married or partnered, divorced or single--with kids or without kids, wants kids or doesn't--thank you. You're the unsung heroes. It takes a village and thank God we all have each other to raise each generation together as a community. EACH OF YOU IS A MOTHER TO SOMEONE. Your love matters. You matter. Thank you for all you've done and will continue to do for all of us. (We wouldn't be functional human beings without you.) 💜 from

Have typer. Will write . 💃 👉 YES! I will ABSOLUTELY write back to anyone who sends me snail mail! DM me if you'd like to correspond. Quarantine is the perfect opportunity to brush up on our letter-writing skills and stay connected during this bizarre time in our lives. ❤️ Besides, we all secretly love getting fun-looking non-bills in the mail. 😉 (NOTE: Letters typed on a Corona do not contain the Coronavirus. )
