🤥The three biggest myths/lies in the coaching & consulting space:
Myth #1: I can outsource my marketing blueprint, and let an agency figure it all out for me
If you were building a house, and let the construction team design the entire layout and floorplan without any input from you, would you truly be happy with the results?
Here’s the problem - any agency you hire is intrinsically LESS invested in your business success than you are.
Agencies have a time and place - when you have a validated offer and a really clear method of creating conversions.
But most coaches are flying by the seat of their pants, relying on referrals, cold outreach, and occasional inbound leads to fill their pipeline.
Myth #2: Putting out mountains of content and videos will generate sales in the long run
Look, content is great. There’s never been a better time to get more eyeballs and views on your videos and posts.
The problem is that mountains of content itself is a really poor starting place for generating sales.
Conventional marketing wisdom says “Build a big audience at the top of the funnel, and then offer them free lead magnets, and then finally make them an offer after several months.
Sure, this works in some cases.
But for most coaches? They get so caught up in the production of the content, that they never actually create strategic pieces of content that will convert like wildfire.
The truth my friend is that there are HUNGRY buyers right now who WANT the breakthrough that you can give them.
Strategically placed content beats quantity every single time.
Myth #3: “If I build it, they’ll come!”
Many coaches think that just because they filmed a really good course, or put together a great program, that sales are going to magically flow in.
The truth is that there are tons of courses every day that flop - not because the content isn’t good, but because the coach doesn’t understand how to position their offer as a market authority.
🏆The positioning of your offer, along with crystal clear clarity on your target market is the most important factor in creating a 7 figure marketing system.
We’ve worked with a lot of coaches and consultants from all different niches - most with amazing results.
But I’ve seen coaches come in bright eyed and bushy tailed, thinking that they are ready for paid traffic to their new course, and then get completely disillusioned when it flops.
These days I have strict requirements about who I just run traffic for. Simply because I want to serve clients at the highest level possible.
Throwing a bunch of traffic at an offer that’s not positioned well is a waste of everyone’s time and money.
When most clients come in, we help them to position their offers and message for maximum impact before turning on ads.
It’s truly the foundational work that makes the biggest impact, and leads to a six-figure month instead of a six-figure year.
I want to propose an identity shift for you.
What if you viewed yourself as the CEO of a coaching company, instead of a coach that needs to do everything themselves?
Too many coaches are stuck on the hamster wheel of running in circles, trying to generate referrals, networking, and cold pitching.
Never allowing themselves to delegate, and focus on the high level, needle-moving activities.
As CEO, you need to have ONE main job: bringing extreme levels of clarity to your offer, positioning, and culture.
Everything else can be delegated.
🔥Create an irresistible offer that positions you as a market authority
🔥Don’t be afraid to raise your pricing
🔥Create delegation systems that allow you to stop being Chief Marketing Officer and focus on your zone of genius
🔥Ask your audience what they want!!
Hope this helps.
Happy early Thanksgiving!
