Instagram head Adam Mosseri just revealed several new tools designed to help you reach and engage your customers more effectively.

Here's what's rolling out as of today:

1. Reposts – You can now officially repost other users’ content right in your feed or Stories. Want to highlight a happy customer or local partner? It’s easy and fully sharable. This is perfect for building trust and showcasing community love.

2. Friend Map and ‘Friends’ Feed in Reels tab – A new feed shows posts from the people you interact with most, right inside the Reels tab. This helps you focus on content from loyal customers, locals, and your inner circle.

3. New “Edits” app – A standalone editing tool now available on iOS and Android. It gives you more control to trim clips, add filters, overlays, and quickly format content so your visuals stay polished and on brand. A huge time saver for Reels and promo videos.

-Craft engaging feed content for those beyond your current followers

-Maintain a steady flow of niche-specific content on your feed

-Leverage Reels to reach a broader audience

-Explore the fringes of your niche to develop compelling top of the funnel content

-Cultivate your existing audience with valuable and shareable content

-Weave captivating stories that forge connections and drive sales.

By doing these things day in and day out, you could as a result go viral however thinking it’s so simple and not putting in the work won’t get you far.

This is a true story of my life.

And I still don’t understand it. One year ago a restaurant client I had worked with for years told me they didn’t want to invest in a social media manager any more because their wife was an English major. And exactly what does what have to do with social media strategies and trends?

Please note: their accounts haven’t grown and are in fact now have less followers and less engagement. 1 full year of lost opportunities.

So why am I sharing this today? Because there’s not one single way to partner with a media expert and the benefits are tremendous. Here are a few just to name a few:
