1. SEO = Search Everywhere Optimization: The shift is happening. It's no longer just about Google rankings. We need to be optimizing for presence, authority, and visibility across all relevant search platforms, including LLMs, social search, local listings and beyond. Think broader, not just deeper.
2. Conversions are the True North: A powerful reinforcement that traffic is vanity, and conversions are sanity. Focusing on the metrics that directly impact the bottom line—sales, sign-ups, leads, etc.—remains the key indicator of a successful SEO/content strategy.
3. The Desktop Rebound is Real: With the rise of Large Language Models (LLMs) and tools like ChatGPT, there's a strong trend showing users engaging with them primarily on desktop devices. While 'mobile-first' remains critical for traditional SERPs, it's a great time to audit our desktop experience, content formatting, and site speed to ensure we're delivering optimal value where the LLM exploration is happening.
4. Bing on YouTube has it’s advantages and is a Must-Optimize Channel: YouTube videos are frequently featured in the top 10 links included within Google's AI Overviews. This is a massive signal: Video creation and optimization are no longer optional—it's essential for future visibility.
5. Brand —> Own the Conversation: The goal isn't just to rank, but to own the narrative around your brand and your topics. This means creating comprehensive, authoritative content that consistently answers user questions and dominates the relevant information space.
