🌟 Navigating Change and Embracing Growth🌟
Hello wonderful people,
I wanted to open up and share the rollercoaster of experiences over the past two years. Life has thrown unexpected challenges my way, prompting difficult decisions for my well-being.
I left my pharmacy job due to a toxic environment, only to face hurdles in my search for the right fit. From part-time roles at Jack in the Box and Petco to at a Pizzeria, it's been a journey of self-discovery and resilience. I had 3 part time jobs at one point, then I eventually left Jack to do Petco and Pizza, I really like the schedule they both gave me. 11-3pm Pizza then 4 or 5-9:30pm Petco. So a full work day with a break in between. We were living far away from my old job as well and did not have the r means to travel that far 3-5 days a week with a new born baby. There were a lot of reasons I left but the big reason was being belittled and treated very ooorly now that I was pregnant with my first child. I got a ton of love but some hate in the mix from others I shall not name names for I am not petty. Then we decided to move from our 2 bath 2 bedroom apartment due to it being pretty run down, property management was awful and only answered when it came to rent time, plus I was working 2-3 jobs just to get by. We then decided to move in with family and pay half of what we were paying. Yet I didn’t realize I’d be returning to the same area my old pharmacy job was in, if I would have known I might of not of left.
Returning to the area of my old pharmacy job brought mixed feelings, and regret lingered. The struggles continued as I reported neglect and abuse at a facility for the elderly, I only worked there for 2 months, only to be ousted due to issues with my caregiver license. It had not been renewed. Even though my time there was short I did see great improvements some of the residents were making due to my due diligence and my care techniques. I was very sad to leave, yet happy they had made improvements such as being fed by someone to being able to feed themselves, from being in a wheelchair to walking with a walker again with stand by assistance, and getting someone who tends to sit alone everyday to participate in some activities and they seemed happy to be apart of something again, just to name a few…
Then I found a job at a distribution company as a customer service representative and was there for 8 months…yet wasn't a smooth ride either.
Poor management, lack of training, and a toxic environment pushed me to reevaluate. As I continued to apply to other jobs, there was a technical error that I was blamed for that led to my departure, a call from the General Manager highlighted the company's acknowledgment of the issue, yet they did not apologize for treating me so poorly and being angry at me. So I left within a week after that incident.
Then came Dollar Tree, patiently waiting for 8 months, since I had taken the job at a distribution company instead of them. I started working before I did any computer training and they never gave me a schedule, I kept having to ask what time do I come in the next day each time I worked. The lack of scheduling and unprofessionalism during this period left me disheartened. A lengthy text expressing my concerns went unanswered, I never got a schedule and didn’t go back since it was unclear of when I worked next.
But here's the silver lining—I've found my place at a fantastic sushi restaurant. The owners and team have embraced me warmly, allowing me to utilize my graphic design skills. Daily tips and a positive work environment have made a world of difference. And they work with whatever schedule I need!! Love it!! (I can actually care for our family more, study, and learn new skill sets, just needed the right fit) 🍣
Life's journey is filled with twists and turns. Each experience has contributed to my growth, resilience, and appreciation for finding where I truly belong. Thanks to everyone who has been part of this adventure.
