UCSD believes that a little bit of mischief can do a whole lot of good for the world. That's why sometimes they break from the ordinary to do breakthrough work. It's why Suman Kanuganti hacked Google Glass to create a device that allows the blind to see. Why Rae Armantrout dismantled and reassembled the English language to confront crisis through verse. And why Darren Lipomi deconstructed molecules to make stretchable electronics that are practically indestructible. They’re not causing all this mayhem because we're reckless. They’re breaking things because they are not afraid to make them better.
