Today I had the opportunity to attend a VFW event in La Mesa and learn more about an incredible local organization: ** East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC)**.
Since 2009, ECTLC has been helping individuals and families break the cycle of homelessness, addiction, and poverty through emergency housing, transitional living programs, job training, education opportunities, family restoration, and supportive services. Every day, they provide housing and resources to hundreds of men, women, and children throughout San Diego County.
What stood out to me today is that ECTLC isn’t just focused on providing a place to stay—they’re focused on helping people rebuild their lives and move toward long-term independence. Through housing, employment training, education, counseling, and community support, they’re creating real pathways to hope and stability.
As someone who believes strongly in community, entrepreneurship, and helping people create better futures, it was inspiring to see the impact this organization is making right here in East County.
A big thank you to the VFW for bringing together organizations that are making a difference in our community.
