Wow - we are getting so much love from the App Store and it’s helping us hit our 10,000 member milestone on Hey Famm!

We could not be more excited. We are building something so important and needed, and our community continues to tell us this.

Q***r people in work, business and entrepreneurship deserve a space that is private, safe and built through an intersectional lens! That is what we have been doing for the past two years and we will continue to build this intentionally so that it is different from what large platforms offer.

We care more about real, lasting relationships with one another. We care more about community care and support. We want this to be a space that enables Q***r economic empowerment. The beautiful part is we already see this happening in the app! People have shared that they have hired teams, they have bought from other businesses, they have partnered with other businesses, they have endless coffee chats with one another, and that real genuine support is found here on Hey Famm.

As the founders, we have high integrity and high hopes for this platform. We deserve a true social network that rewrites the script on how people build relationships vs an audience.

I’m so darn excited to present as one of our headline sponsors for Famm Fest 2026 - our virtual pride event. Tomboyx is one of the q***r-owned brands that inspired Hey Famm waaaaaay back in 2023, when we were curating apparel brands owned and founded by q***r folks. I was and still am a loyal customer, having purchased binders, underwear, bathing suits, and more. More recently, the leaders have pushed back against threats from this hateful administration and the FDA naming clothing as ‘medical devices’. This is what leadership looks like in the face of hate, and we are so proud.

And at the end of the day, affirmation through clothing and what we are wearing underneath our clothing is so important as LGBTQ+ folx. It’s joy. It’s resistance. It’s euphoric.

Building community is not just about surrounding ourselves with people who look like us, identify the same or even share the same beliefs.

It’s truly about showing up as much as you can in the ways you can. It’s always thinking about how you can help someone else out. How you can introduce that one person you met with another one who can help them. It’s about forwarding a job opportunity for someone who has been looking for a while. It’s about letting someone feel seen and acknowledged when they open up and share. But it’s also about naming harm. Protecting your people at all costs. Reflecting inward when we make mistakes and taking accountability to do better. It’s also about avoiding centering yourself because community means collective and together we are a force for good.

Anyway, I’ll get off my soapbox but I’m learning so much in building Hey Famm, a community of almost 10k q***r professionals and business owners In the first and only social platform for q***r economic empowerment. A place where we welcome LGBTQ+ folx who want to share their work and support one another.

Swipe for some personal snapshots our journey into mother and Mapa hood!

This is a shoutout to all the moms out there who are raising beautiful and kind humans. The ones who understand how tough it is every step of the way. How the complexity of identity, generational trauma, and infertility may often shape our views and journeys in mother/parenthood.

As q***r parents the journey to building our family continues through so much heartbreak while celebrating the beautiful human in our lives who will be entering kindergarten next year (what?!).

And to raise a kiddo now during such divisive times means we are doubling down on reaching them values of kindness, love, equity, inclusion and resisting anything that doesn’t promote that.

We know this day may bring up joy, love, sadness, anger and more folx even all at once and we just want to send love and softness to you on this day despite it all.
