Taiwan Tech Day brought together Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Stanford’s Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) to demonstrate how breakthrough technologies move from lab to market in the AI era.
Opening remarks by Queihua Yang, Director General of ITRI, and Johannes Rott, Partner at Plug and Play Tech Center, set the stage for cross-border collaboration.
Keynote by Jonathan Gortat, Director of Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing, explored “The Complexity of Structuring a High-Impact Licensing Deal in Technology Transfer.”
The panel, “The Last Mile of Tech Transfer,” featured:

They examined what determines whether deep tech successfully transitions to real-world solutions, from venture capital and ecosystem collaboration to technology transfer and global market access.
