I guess I should introduce myself. 

Well, My name is Gabi.
I am originally from Philadelphia PA. However I have been in the central FL area for nearly 24 years. I am married to the worlds kindest, most gentlest soul I have ever met Tom. He is biggest supporter of all things. He puts me and his family first in everything he does. This past August we became first time parents to the world’s most amazing baby girl. Watching her grow over the past 2 months has been eye opening on just how much little time we have. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I can shop at the dollar tree and easily spend $100. (oops) lol. I can talk a mile a minute and never get tired of such a task. My hobbies are anything to do with shopping. ( Who does not like such a thing). I take life one step at a time. my favorite time of day is night. When the moon is shining and the air is cool. ( Florida is HOT lol)
See I mentioned I like to talk. LOL

My work experiences: I started working in the Funeral business right out of High School. I was 18 and I remember telling my mom I wanted something more out of life beside the normal 9-5. She told me that only I can change my life. So I got dressed in my best clothes and went out filling applications. I planned on answering phones maybe filing papers. Instead they saw something in me and at 18 I became the youngest in the state of FL at the time to get my license in preneed. There I learned the aspect of sales and compassion with customers. I moved around between funeral homes until I was 25. There I found myself needing a change. I ended up working in a call center for the next 2 years as a Quality Assurance agent. Where I not only listened to calls but also uptrained and coached agents. After that I decided to take my chances in the Roofing / Construction industry where I continued to learn my administrative background. This is where I learned the legal aspect such as how to write contracts and file with county and state. Now here I am. Starting a business from the ground up.

Why did I decide to become a VA? When the pandemic started last year I found myself working from home along with 75% of the world. So over the past year I watched businesses close their home bases and have employees work from home full time. I also saw these same companies needing more help with the back end and administrative side. However since offices were now closed. That’s where I come in or so I hope. I can be the person behind the scenes they need. The one to handle all of the administrative work without the hassle of fronting an office. So I hope that helps sum me up. :)

When the pandemic hit, many of us had to "make a plan" with regards to working from home. Not everyone is or was fortunate enough to have home office spaces and some even had to take a while to adapt to working from home. Many people prefer being office based, while some (me) were ready to work from home for what felt like 10 years already.

However so many people are still working from home.
For those of you who do, what have you done to make it comfortable or to get the day started?
Do you have any routines or preferences?
What do you do to separate work life from home life?
Are you the "anything goes" type who can comfortably work in your pjs, or under the blankies, or in front of the tv?

I find myself waking up and continuing like I am going to the office. Coffee made, breakfast made. Sometimes I even still do my make up. However since having my little one back in August I have noticed that routine slipping. So my plan is to jump back into it.
