RIP Mr. Munoz
This morning, we woke up to the heartbreaking news of the passing of Washington Academic Middle School Principal, Pete Muñoz.
Many of us at Sanger Live had the privilege of knowing Mr. Muñoz during our time at WAMSas students. He was someone you couldn’t forget—full of energy, humor, and heart. While he always carried himself with professionalism as a dedicated Sanger Unified educator, he never missed a moment to connect with students. Whether it was a quick high five or a few encouraging words, he had a way of making each student feel seen and motivated to take on their day.
As we grew older and began our journey with Sanger Live, Mr. Muñoz continued to show that same support. He would greet us with a firm handshake that quickly turned into a warm, brotherly hug, always encouraging us to keep pushing forward and doing what we do for our community.
Today, we ask our community to come together and keep the Muñoz family, his friends, colleagues, and the many Sanger Unified students whose lives he impacted in your thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Muñoz’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
