I love pretty things, don’t get me wrong. Websites SHOULD be pretty.

BUT, they should also work. 👀

In addition to being pretty, a website should also
- look good on every device
- have working links
- actually show up on google
- answer typical questions
- have a purpose

If your website doesn’t do all those things, it’s time to consider an update.

I think it's easy to get caught up in trying to delegate that we forget about time management.

Slow design: intentional design that is crafted for longevity over prioritizing speed.

Slow design isn't for everyone.

If you need a site up tomorrow, if you're antsy, if you are ready to be done, then slow design isn't for you.

If you're ready to go with the process, lean into the creativity, and craft a website that will last, slow design IS for you.

My priority is slow design.

I have found that my clients tend to have better results and more success when we allow ourselves to be gentle and flexible.

My website design process generally takes eight weeks, but of course, there is room for flexibility.

Entrepreneurs loooove to play the game of "I can do it myself". We even love to take this a step farther and go for "I need to learn how to do everything".

The reality is that we are hurting ourselves, our business, and our customers by staying in this mindset.

I firmly believe that regardless of where you are in your business, your limited beliefs, imposter syndrome, and fear are always the biggest thing holding you back.

I used to spend HOURS looking at other website designers, spiraling into a black hole of imposter syndrome and shame. I would cry on the couch, thinking that I wasn’t good enough and feeling like a fraud.

And the more entrepreneurs I met, the more I realized that this is SO common.

You are not alone. Do not let that silly brain of yours hold you back from greatness.

When I started out, I wanted to be a six-figure business with a growing team. I looked at other bigger, more established entrepreneurs with envy, and tried to pretend like I was in the same place as them.

But now, several years in, I realize that this phase that many entrepreneurs go through is just silly.

If you are a newer business, your ideal client is looking to work with a newer business. Someone who is going to give them lots of time, pay attention to detail, perhaps charge a little less, and be very supportive.

If you are a more established business, your ideal client is looking to work with a more established business. Someone who has expertise, systems, and is quick.

Lean into where your business is at. Practice showing it some love. Later, you will look back and wish you did. Trust me.

Trying to keep up with trends just for funsies is a waste of time and resources.

Whether it's your logo, business name, or shoes, really consider what has longevity.

My dear entrepreneur,

You have to rely on grocery stores and gasoline. You simply cannot DIY every single thing in your life.

So why is your business different?

You want to know how to do everything. You want to have your hand in everything. And it's hurting you.

In the same way that you don't live in the 14th century, your business isn't in the 14th century.

Stop making everything so difficult. Whether it's pre-washed green beans or website design... It's time to allow for convenience.

I have an ironic story to tell you about this post.

I typed up a super long caption all about operating from masculine and feminine energy, being in flow state, and allowing the universe to bring success.

And then, somehow, someway, my computer deleted it. The program that I use always asks me if I'm sure before exiting, but for some reason this didn't happen for this caption.

So I'm rolling with it. I'm sharing the story about the post rather than the content for the post.

And the irony is that THIS is what I was trying to convey in my original caption.

I've started operating my business from a LOUD, imperfect, and go-with-the-flow state and it's been powerful. I am more inspired, confident, and excited about what I'm creating.

I'm allowing myself to be the most POWERFUL version of my feminine. Boldly, unapologetically in a flow state. And I am loving it.
