I'm sure you heard that Sean Connery passed away this weekend at the age of 90! He's an actor I grew up watching, and it's such a reality check that life is short, and time is passing very quickly, and that we must embrace every day!

It seems like only yesterday, but it was actually in 1999, when I had just started my journey in Hollywood, that I was working on the PR for the "Entrapment" film release.

I found this image on Wireimage of the night, at the "Entrapment" Premiere when the venerable Sean Connery shook my hand at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It was quite honestly, one of the only times I've been truly speechless when meeting a celebrity.

We were repping one of the producers, Michael Hertzberg, and he introduced me to Mr. Connery and his wife, right there on the red carpet.
When Mr. Connery reached out to shake my hand, I think my jaw might have literally dropped, and I just smiled—stunned. He said something like "It's wonderful to meet you." And I didn't say a word—just smiled, nodded and stared at him. 😂

I can only assume he was used to leaving people speechless! (I spent my time at the premiere party accompanying Catherine Zeta-Jones' Dad, who was beyond proud of his rising star. He raved on and on about her beautiful voice and opera singing!)

Sean Connery was one of those movie stars that truly emanated charisma and that "star quality" and charisma that brought him his worldwide megastar status.

It saddened and disappointed me over the years to also learn that he was known to be abusive to women in his life.

In the end, it's all that we do in our life that leaves our legacy.

Sean Connery's passing gave me this sobering reminder...

It's important to remember that every word we speak, every action we take, everything that we do will be the culmination of how we are remembered.

Choose wisely. Live fully.

2 - The next step is to start submitting your writing to high profile blogging platforms like ThriveGlobal, Popsugar, MindBodyGreen, Medium and Tut.com. Editors still have to approve your submissions so make sure you follow their submission guidelines.
3 - After you have some success with this, you will want to take it to the next level and start pitching your writing as contributing articles to mainstream media outlets like your favorite magazines.
4 - And then the big jump is to actually start pitching your story ideas to the media/press and having them write about you!

I'm busting at the seams to share this with you!

I've been happy dancing for days! 🤗🤗🤗

A few months back, I decided I wanted to be a member of the Forbes Business Council.

But I wasn't quite sure how it would happen. (It's an invite-only collective of top biz pros.)

I also decided to jump off a scary cliff at the beginning of the pandemic and hired a high-level business coach for a year-long program...even though most of my events and agency clients had just been canceled.

Something I've always been good at is standing at the edge of the cliff, leaping...and expecting the net to appear.

And sure enough, with that active faith, the net always seems to manifest—as if out of nowhere.

I choose to see with my heart, not my eyes.

So, I invested in myself and committed to a year-long program knowing that it would up-level my business and help me evolve as a business owner.

Flash forward to this week when an acquaintance and colleague that I hadn't spoken to in ages reached out because she had seen me online talking about my recent 3-day event.

And guess what?! Turns out she's the LA Chair of the Forbes Business Council—and invited me to be a member!

So, it's official! I'm now in an elite group of one of the Forbes Councils that only has about 850 executives in it—worldwide!

I'm beyond honored, humbled and excited! I now also get to write articles for Forbes.com!

This example illustrates the power of intention, faith and commitment—and I hope you also are using these superpowers to bring your own dreams into reality!
