Life lessons from making pasta 🍝 with a real Italian Nonna.

1. Simple is better.
If the ingredients are high quality, you dont need to add the frills.

2. Trust your body.
Making pasta with your hands is all about feeling the dough and trusting your instinct for measuring, kneading and rolling the pasta.

3. Everything is cyclical.
You put your frustration and anger into beating and rolling the dough, and then the dough nourishes your soul and makes you smile.

And perhaps most importantly for me:

4. Perfection is your enemy.
I was so concerned about what my pasta shape was “supposed to look like” and knowing if I was “doing it right” that I was doing it wrong. The key was to simply enjoy the process and accept whatever shape came out. When I finally let go, Nonna told me they were beautiful.

Who knew that a pasta-making class could be such a powerful moment of self-reflection?

Is it too early for us to talk about Spring!? Not only do I feel like I’m seeing gorgeous plants 🪴 sprouting for the season, but I feel like I’m emerging from a hermit season.

First of all, there’s nothing wrong with a hermit season! Sometime I just need to eliminate the distractions in order to stay in motion.

That said, knowing you need some isolation is just as important as knowing when you need to get out and “touch grass”

So for those of you wondering where the heck I’ve been (which I know is SOOOO many of you 🤪) just know that I’ve been in ruthless pursuit of my goals and it feels SO GOOD.

Anyone else in a hermit season? Maybe you’ve even achieved gold-level hermit status?

So much to be thankful for this year!! A thriving business AND marriage AND friendships.

Grateful, above all else, for the personal growth that is changing me from the inside out. Increasing my capacity mentally, emotionally and physically for all the good and challenging things that lie ahead.

Last weekend was one of my favorite days of the whole entire year! The event that the spends all year planning.

What made this year special?
🥳 We curated exclusively female-owned small businesses to populate our marketplace
🥳 We sold out in ONE DAY
🥳 we had over 550 women in attendance
🥳 we raised over $500,000 for

It was amazing to watch 550 women gather to love in each other and the women in our community.

It was an honor to share this day and this powerful mission with so many people that I love -

And shout out to my incredible marketplace committee partners , , , and who worked so hard to curate female owned businesses.

I am so on fire for this mission 🔥🔥

Started my morning at one of my favorite spots () having breakfast with one of my favorite people .

The weather this morning was so delightfully fall-esque that we even got to sit outside! Hallelujah.
