Rose+Allyn Public & Online Relations, a dynamic public relations, public affairs and event production firm based in Old Town Scottsdale, is looking for interns interested in learning all aspects of the industry.
The interns who fill this position should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, expect to learn the field from top to bottom, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the industry such as tracking media coverage, client conference calls, news conferences, government meetings, drafting press releases, and special events including The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships the company owns.
It's essential that applicants to this position have strong communication and writing skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide support to public relations and special events managers
• Draft a marketing plan for evaluation as part of course work.
• Write press releases and other materials
• Create social media posts and newsletter articles
• Assist with graphic design tasks
• Monitor all forms of media and track coverage for clients.
• Research local and/or relevant happenings, topics, etc. and formulate content to support
• Assist with event planning and onsite logistics at company owned and client events
• Enter contact information into contact management systems
• Additional requests made by the team
Requirements
Only interns comfortable with writing and proficient with Microsoft Office applications should apply. Interns must be present at the office.
