I thought starting my business would change my career.
I didn’t expect it would change me.

This month marks one year of full-time entrepreneurship.

And if I’m being honest… the biggest lessons weren’t what I expected.

I didn’t expect to have to find myself again.
I didn’t expect the mental and emotional growth this would require.
I didn’t expect how much resilience I would have to build.
And I didn’t expect this journey to bring me back to the dreams I once let go of.

One of the things I love most about fashion is that the right piece can transform depending on how you style it.

This is your reminder that sometimes you don’t wait for the door to open — you knock. 🚪✨

I made a bold move, and it got me in front of a major fashion brand.

They weren’t looking for brand marketing support.
There was no job post.
No open call.

But I knew I wanted to be part of what they’re building.

So I put myself out there, and. I sent the email.
I told them I’d love to attend their event, but I’d especially love to talk about their brand marketing and how I could help them tell their story.

And that one move?
It opened the door. ✨

Now I’m stepping into an incredible opportunity in the fashion industry that I can’t fully share just yet… but let’s just say there are some exciting things about to unfold.

This fashion show changed everything for me. 💫

The Macy’s Get Ready Fashion Event (2017) was my first ever opportunity to serve as a professional Creative Director + Stylist . And I still remember the feeling like it was yesterday.

The energy was electric.

The turnout was incredible.

The pressure was real.

But somewhere between the fittings, the final looks, and seeing the show come to life… it clicked. I realized I actually belong here, and I have what it takes to do it. To create, to lead, to tell stories through fashion that make people feel something.

Moments like these are a big part of what shaped how I approach creative direction today. Where strategy meets storytelling, and visuals do more than just look good.

People always say, “Don’t wish your life differently, everything happens in the right time.”
And sure… that’s true.

But we’re also human. And sometimes we look back and think, “Wow… imagine if I had trusted myself earlier.”

The truth is, stepping into entrepreneurship has been one of the most challenging, exhilarating, and soul-stretching things I’ve done in my career, and I’ve never felt more aligned with my purpose.

So yes… I wish I would’ve started sooner. But I’m truly grateful to myself for starting at all. 💜

Entrepreneurship isn’t always glamorous — some days are hard, and some months are slow. But even in those quiet moments, I remind myself that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I believe God placed me on this path for a reason. And when the road feels uncertain, faith keeps me moving forward.

I don’t have all the answers yet, but I know He’s writing the story — and I’m just doing my part by showing up, trusting, and staying aligned. 💜
