When your prospect throws you an objection after you said the price, here’s the first thing you MUST do…

You must diffuse them using ‘diffusing language.’

They told you ‘no’ or ‘I can’t’ to you and now they feel like you’re about to attack them. They get a cortisol spike. Fear is kicking in. 😰

So they hold their shield up. 🛡

Rather than attacking them with some sales tactic, reasons why their thinking is wrong, or why you disagree with them…

You ought to make them feel like you’re in their team…

You need your prospect to lower their shield. 🤝

You can use quick phrases like:

“No problem”

“No worries”

“Totally understand”

“All good, not an issue”

Your prospect won’t expect that, and they’ll start to feel less anxiety and fear from you. 😯

They can now think clearly and be more reasonable now that they’re in a relaxed state of mind! 🧘‍♂️

That’s when you can LEAD them by asking questions to unravel what their true objection (or logistic) issue is without having to battle them. 😁
