Happy Year of the Ox! Fun fact on the Chinese characters 福, which means “fortune”. Since the pronounciation of 倒(upside down) and 到(arrival) are very similar in Chinese, it’s common practice for people to turn the character upside down to symbolize the arrival of fortune.

We skipped cooking tonight because it’s FRIDAY‼️Stopped by Chutney’s Bistro on Wallingford Ave for some mussel curry, kadhai paneer, and kabuli naan. It pairs to well with the merlot from ! 🤤

Chutney’s Bistro has quickly become our local favourite Indian food. There is always little surprises you can find in their menu that make them unique. We had their pomegranate chicken last time and who knew pomegranate and curry would go well? This time the highlight was the Kabuli naan. It has cherries, nuts and raisins — if We are going to have naan for breakfast, this is definitely it.

They don’t have an IG but please go support them if you are in the Wallingford neighborhood!

We love supporting small businesses owners, especially the ones that pour their heart and soul to make their dreams come true, and are relentlessly creative! That’s why we are so happy and honored to partner with on a giveaway! We first came across her stickers at and fell in love with these cute stickers that have a touch of PNW.

Behind these wonderful designs is Liezel Villanueva, a very talented Filipino woman who wears multiple hats as a former barista, a sonographer, and an artist. She started this shop during COVID-19, a time when she felt like had lost everything. With , she is able to bring her ideas to life and help people to create custom orders to bring happiness to their lives.

Did you know is now in Wallingford? They make the best place for authentic Indian chai in Seattle no doubt!🤤 If you want coffee, try their Rose Latte and Bournvita Latte. They make their own rose syrup for the Rose Latte so the fragrance is just right. Bournvita is more like an Indian Ovaltine so think chocolate and malty flavors combined with coffee. 🍫 ☕️

Seattle’s Office of Economic Development will invest $14M to help small businesses and non-profits to cope with the challenges faced due the pandemic. The deadline to apply for the Small Business Stabilization Fund is November 30.

I love that King County Elections continues to lead with example. We use the “track my ballot” tool on kingcounty.gov/elections yesterday and were glad to know that the ballot has been counted.

So feeling super stoked, we downloaded all of King County’s digital stickers and made a multi-language for all proud voters. 😉

We discovered in Fremont a few months ago and subscribed to its Plant Club. So far, we love have gotten a money tree plant and a spider plant — both pet-friendly just in case our cats decide to take a bite out of them.
