Signs of Spring in the estate vineyards of yesterday, after the rains. Gloria Vineyard, situated next to the winery, was a vision of lush green cover crops, with daikon radish and fava beans flourishing, promoting healthy soil and biodiversity. Yu-Ki Vineyard, near the town of Occidental, sits at 1000 feet in elevation, surrounded by towering redwood trees (Yu-Ki means giant trees). Lastly, we visited the newest site, Ko-Fu, which they’ll start seeing fruit from in four years. Sitting in the proposed Sebastopol Hills AVA, the site is windswept and bathed in fog.

Just wrapped up an amazing trip to NYC, sharing the incredible Clif Family wines from Napa with some fantastic people! 🍇🌆

Many thanks to the team for the chance to connect and collaborate with so many amazing wine professionals in NY/Philly/NJ.

The NYC tasting was a great way to kick off the week, pouring with like minded wineries dedicated to practicing sustainable methods that benefit the environment.

Finally, our event at was a wonderful celebration of sustainability and social responsibility, as both Clif Family and Crave Fishbar are Certified B Corporations. What a great way to kick off B Corp Month!!

Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, co-creators of Clif Bar, let their love of small batch wines and food grow into a 100 acre CCOF organically farmed vineyard, vegetable garden and fruit orchard in Napa Valley. We had a fabulous visit yesterday at Moraitis Winery in Naoussa. Took a deep dive into the ancient history of viticulture on Paros, explored their unique indigenous grape varieties, and tasted through an amazing array of clean, precise and delicious wines. Kudos to Theo Moraitis for upholding an amazing family tradition, and shepherding it into the future. Special thanks to our wildly knowledgeable host Thanos, and to for their help in setting this up.

Beautiful spring weather in Sonoma County today ☀️ calls for opening the perfect springtime wine. Pax has been making Chenin Blanc from this mountainous site in Amador County for three years and the 2023 vintage is the best right out of the gate. Mouthwatering acidity helps balance exotic fruit flavors and minerality from growing in iron rich soils. Bravo ! 2023 Pax Chenin Blanc, Lyman Ranch. Available in April, come and get it!!
