Ad Mark Com, Creative Graphic and Web Design Helping Your Business Get Results ... By Design! Intuitive Business Marketing I founded Ad·Mark·Com as a sole proprietor 30 years ago.

My conceptual, creative, communication, organizational, core light, and interpersonal skills have enabled me to successfully assist others in marketing their business/service through branding, print, advertising, web. I am an artist, writer, visionary ... this has translated well into helping others make the most of their marketing efforts and dollars. Historically my services have been a good fit for firms with under 100 employees ... too small to have an in-house marketing person or not getting adequate service from a multi-person advertising agency. I have long-term relationships with many of my clients ... some of whom have been utilizing my creativity and guidance since my first year in business. It wasn't until life brought me back to memories of being a small child that I realized that "just knowing" the best way to market products and services, having designs "come to me", etc. was the connectedness I have, the "intuition". Since 2012 I have been helping others with their marketing and also stepping into my ability to help people heal, mentally/emotionally/spiritually/physically ... a gift that was shut down as a child. Growing up I focused on what WAS nurtured ... my brain and artistic abilities. My focus is always service to others ahead of personal gain and working with others who also share this focus hold this spark is my passion. If you'd like an out-of-the box thinker who loves to write and draw as your marketing partner, contact me. ~ Kristi Borst

Honestly, sometimes it feels like "another day, another scam". My latest "heads up" involves applications to USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). I have a client that filed an application for a trademark several years ago (I helped with the process as part of the logo design). The application was denied because the USPTO examiner felt that the term was too generic/broad and, therefore, could not be trademarked to a specific individual/company.

I have begun receiving quite frequent emails and text messages advising that TRADEMARK REGISTRATION EXPERTS (unsubscribes come from QUADECH) has an applicant interested in the tm. They advise we have 24 hours to respond (this has been going on for weeks) to them to block the application. Each time I unsubscribe to email or text, a different address/phone number is used with the same scammy text. Just be aware. I tried to report this company to BBB.org and could not find them. No location noted on TRE web site.

Happy Merry Holy-days of December. I'm grateful for the clients who believed in a 20-something female entrepreneur, with a home office, before those things were widely accepted (and kind after). I'm grateful to have found an outlet for my spiritual intuition, understanding of people's needs and desires to help people succeed. My company allowed me to challenged, stay home with our precious young children AND significantly contribute to the family income. Entering my 40th year of business!

In the many years of creating web sites for companies and setting up their email accounts, I've fielded perhaps thousands of questions from clients "IS THIS EMAIL LEGIT?" The first thing you should do with any email you do not recognize is to hover over the sender's address. That will show you who the email is truly from. In this case, it is not my web site's mail server. Here is an example that came in today, allegedly from my site's email server. Hovering over the sender field, I can see the scammer has an address of host2.i4dots.com which has nothing to do with admarkcom.com. You can also hover over links in emails to reveal their ultimate destination. Or option (right mouse on pc) click the link and select copy, then paste it into notepad, a new email, etc. to look at it. Be savvy friends; truth seems to be one of the rarest of commodities! If you are a heart-based entrepreneur and would like to get the results by design, reach out to me!

How to catch a phishing attempt ... people want your password and sensitive account data. Here is a tip for checking emails. In this case, "Zoom" sent me a suspension notice. Fortunately, I knew the email account in question didn't even have a Zoom account (happens often, similarly with bank notifications). I checked to see if it was from Zoom by hovering over the sender field (photo 1). Looks legit! However, when hovering over the VERIFICATION link, this email clearly does not go to Zoom.us. Beware! Also, if you have a business page, watch out for tags in posts that say you are in violation of a FB rule. Typically take you to a 3rd party site where they will capture your FB log-in credentials when you try to "object" to the decision. (deep breath) ... I imagine a world in which people put their time, money, and gifts to helping rather than swindling one another. As I frequently share in spiritual messages via Healing Resonance llc with Kristi Borst, it is illusion to think that you can get ahead (in this world or beyond time/space) by pushing down another soul!

Someone has contacted you via email, phone, text saying your web site is bad, outdated, not performing well, etc. They offer to "run a report" to show you just how bad it is. The first BIG thing to realize is that the fact that this person found your web site illustrates that people can find your site. The second thing to realize is that most of these companies use form-letter type tactics to get clients; they likely haven't even evaluated your site! Just because you are contacted doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your site; it just means you are not using that particular company. Be wary of these solicitations. Be wary of companies promising to get you on the first page of Google. Because you are solicited often, it doesn't mean the appeals being served up to you are true. Don't get caught in a bold-faced scam! Think about this ... your site gets found by the content that you provide. Search engines do not see pretty pictures (unless seo work has been done there); search engines find words and phrases. If you want to put money into your site, add relevant content/information that your prospective clients are looking for. Make it easy for your customers to engage with you ... call you, email you, make an appointment. These are KEY! The second tier is to build a presence across platforms, creating a FB page, youtube channel upon which you can add a couple of quick "how to's". None of this is rocket science; but it does take your time. As small business owners, that's part of the commitment. If you'd like to talk, you'll see my phone number is on all of my sites!

As an advertiser, it can be so disturbing to find that the only responses to your are spammy/scammy messages from people trying to take something from you. It can even happen when you are just sharing uplifting information and trying to help other! I have just experienced this in my own Healing Resonance llc with Kristi Borst business page. Please be cautious❣️ I clicked on the first notification (I've since received 3 from separate companies/individuals) and it offered an APPEAL. This is an attempt to get your log-in credentials! When you get this type of message, be sure that the final address you enter information on is FACEBOOK.com. I became suspicious when the log in didn't look like facebook. You can also report the message (click the 3 dots; I selected something else, "harassment"). I have changed my FB password. I also reported the story that was linked in the email, again by clicking the 3 dots in the corner. I'm including a screen shot of the message in my message center.

To quote Forrest "Stupid is as Stupid does!" Yet another illustration that $$$$$$$$$$ cannot buy good judgment, when you think you know everything. If you are looking for rebranding or first-time logo support that your customers will understand/not find offensive and which doesn't cost $$$$$$, reach out. I am open to working with business owners with a heart who understand (1) the best graphics are not designed in Canva and (2) naming/branding your firm with a letter associated with p**n might not help you achieve your goals! "... results by design!"
