I read that people need about 7 hours with you before they buy. Trust is low right now.

So when they ask for the price, don't rush it. Talk about the results first. And put real training inside your ads so they've already spent time with you before the call.

Everyone tells new agency owners to niche down right away.

If you've never worked with a dentist, why would you only sell to dentists? Help anyone you can, get some skin in the game, then niche down later.

ChatGPT just passed 60,000 advertisers. A little over a month ago it had about 20,000.

That's triple in roughly five weeks, on an ad platform that started in February with a few hundred buyers (New Street Research analyst Dan Salmon, via MediaPost).

Early auctions are cheap because nobody's in them yet. Every new buyer pushes the price up for whoever shows up next. We run paid ads for clients at KenjiAI, and this is the channel we're watching closest right now.

It's not the leads and it's not motivation.

Contact 100 people. 20 pick up, 5 talk to you, 1 buys. That's the job. Make the contacts.

He showed up in a suit and said he didn't have time, so I told him I didn't think he should go with us.

He gave me 15 more minutes. By the end he said "this is what we're looking for" and asked for a deal.

Political campaigns have spent more than $137 million on AI-made ads this midterm cycle. In 2024, the same researchers found less than $50,000.

Only 27% of the 220 ads they tracked carry an AI disclaimer, and nearly half show deepfakes of real politicians (Wesleyan Media Project, Oct 16).

AI creative is standard in paid media now, in politics and everywhere else. Anyone running AI creative for a business should label it now, before a regulator or a customer forces the issue.

I buy something from an ad and then see that same ad for weeks. I already bought it.

Once you're spending a couple hundred a day, build a lookalike of your buyers and leads, then exclude them from the campaign so your budget goes to new people.

Some days the ad account is up, some days it's down. Don't shut it off on a down day.

We just onboarded a client who first signed up back in February. She tried to build it herself, couldn't, and came back 8 months later ready to go. Leads come back if you keep following up.
