Finished up a two more boards this afternoon in preparation for a few Spring shows just around the corner!
The dried white daisies laid on black resin with this particulary darker piece a black walnut has a warm formal feel to me.
Also my first opportunity working with Olive wood and the colors did not disappoint. The long dark and golden brown graining came to life after oiling for sure. Turquoise is not a color I use often, but seems to fit this wood.

JD Shelburne give away last night on FB live. (Over 500 entries) Congratulations to Debbie Luttrell McCune for winning one of the original JD medallions.
Karen and I just met JD in person over the weekend after sharing text and emails regarding KP Wood Designs supplying unique merchadise for his online store for a week or so. Cherry earrings got the JD stamp of approval and shipping out several dozen pairs this week. Key chains in design stage.
**I’ve heard a lot of people say that his work ethic is tireless, but that’s an understatement at best! This guy is a 24/7 ball of energy with a personality to match!
If you haven’t heard this locally grown artists songs, do yourself a favor and pull up his song “Neon Hallelujah” or “Amazing Grace” that he performed with The Oak Ridge Boys online and enjoy!

I recently completed a project where my client requested weathered gray pallets for a UK-themed 43-inch KY. Those pallets are not easily found in good condition, but I managed to find a few that worked out perfectly. I offered her a choice of lasered logo colors and proceeded with the build. To preserve the gray and prevent thier original brown tones, I avoided aggressive sanding and used the pallets as is. There was one pallet with old red paint that I worked around, but “unfortunately”, I miscalculated the alignment, and it is now a small part of their Big Blue art piece. 😁 It was a fun build indeed!
