Happy Saturday, everyone! ☀️

We know we’ve been a little quieter than usual lately, and there’s a good reason for it. With less than 3 weeks until we welcome our little guy, we’ve been spending our time getting everything ready for his arrival.

Between nesting, doctor’s appointments, and preparing for this new chapter, social media has taken a bit of a back seat. But don’t worry—we haven’t forgotten about this page or all of you.

We’ll be back in full force before long with more equipment, local businesses, projects, and everything else we love sharing.

Thanks for sticking with us while we slow down for just a little bit. We appreciate every one of you, and we can’t wait to get back at it soon.

Do the Monday blues and this smoke have you feeling a little down? Sometimes all it takes is finding the brighter side.

For us, it’s equipment. Big or small, we enjoy not only running it but admiring the older iron that paved the way. They don’t build them like they used to, and that’s exactly why we appreciate seeing these machines still out there putting in work.

many of you know, Mountain Ready Mix closed its doors earlier this year. While most of the Mountain Ready Mix family has found new employment, there are still a few hardworking employees planning for what comes next.

This employee has nearly 8 years of experience in the ready mix industry, including plant management, dispatch supervision, batching, mix design creation, quality control, equipment operation, customer service, employee training, and plant maintenance.

Currently on maternity leave and expecting to return to the workforce later this year, this post is simply looking ahead and starting the search early for part-time opportunities beginning in late November.

Family-friendly opportunities would be especially appreciated. Mountain Ready Mix allowed the flexibility to bring children to work when needed, and finding a similar environment would mean a great deal.

If you know of any opportunities in construction, dispatch, equipment operation, agriculture, customer service, plant operations, administrative support, or related fields, please comment below or send a message.

With all the recent discussions surrounding AI and the proposed data center for siskiyou county, I’ve noticed some people choosing to unfollow this page because I use AI as part of creating content.

I respect that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to decide what content they want to follow.

For me, this page has always been about supporting local businesses, highlighting hardworking people, sharing community events, and showcasing Siskiyou County. That mission hasn’t changed.

AI is simply one of the tools I use, much like Photoshop, Canva, or other editing software. It helps with layouts, wording, and saving time, but it doesn’t replace the work that goes into building relationships, taking photos, researching information, or supporting local businesses. Every business featured here is real, every story is real, and the photos I share are my own or used with permission.

Whether someone supports or opposes a data center is a separate discussion from using software to create content. My purpose has never been to debate politics, it’s to shine a light on the people, businesses, and places that make Siskiyou County special.

Whether you choose to follow this page or not, I genuinely appreciate everyone who has supported it. I’ll continue doing what I set out to do from the beginning: supporting this community and the people in it.
