Congratulations to the various communities and organizations of Elkhart County and to Experience Elkhart County, Indiana, for their national recognition. The Friends of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail was voted the #1 Best Recreational Trail, while the Elkhart Riverwalk and the town of Middlebury, Indiana (thank you, Essenhaus) also nabbed recognitions. We frequent ALL of these almost weekly and understand why they have been recognized. Again, congratulations and well-deserved! (Elkhart County was our home for 18 years before we moved to downtown South Bend.)
The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail won a national vote for Best Recreational Trail, while two other Elkhart County attractions finished in the top 10 in their respective categories in the USA Today 10 Best
