Not every church is healthy simply because it talks about Jesus.

Healthy churches welcome questions.
Healthy churches embrace accountability.
Healthy churches care more about truth than reputation.
Healthy churches protect people, not platforms.

But many survivors of spiritual abuse have heard things like:
"Just trust leadership."
"Don't ask questions."
"Talking about abuse causes division."
"You need to forgive and move on."

These statements may sound spiritual, but they are often used to silence concerns, protect power, and avoid accountability.

If a church cannot tolerate questions, criticism, or transparency, the problem isn't the people asking questions.

It's the culture.

We’re not moving yet.

I sat with a client recently and asked her what she discovered through the process.

She paused.
