Founded in 1966, Tom James is one the most respected bespoke menswear and womenswear companies in the United States, delivering expectational, custom-made garments to clients nationwide. Their arrival in Reno marks an exciting moment for our local market - bringing world-class craftsmanship and premium garment to our community.

Sometime ago , I had the pleasure of meeting two exceptionally elegant gentlemen - Chuck V'Soske and Keith Kirby - whose professionalism and vision immediately stood up. They extended and opportunity for collaboration, and since now, Marosa Design will consistently bring the highest standards of quality that Tom James represents.

It is a honor to support a brand with such a strong heritage and bring their level of excellence to Reno-Sparks. Together, we are elevating the experience of bespoke tailoring in our region.

💎 Wedding Dress Alterations – Precision Without Limits

Modern bridal fashion doesn’t make it easy — many gowns are built on delicate mesh, where removing or adjusting elements without leaving a mark is nearly impossible.
But for MAROSA, nothing is impossible.
This gown was taken in by 5 inches at the bust, and at the bride’s request, we’ll be adding a sleeve while preserving the integrity of its multi‑layered structure.
That’s the level of craftsmanship that defines our atelier — technical, artistic, and fearless.

Today I had the privilege of attending an inspiring business event that reminded me that the road to success is not only about strategy — it’s about courage, authenticity, and community.

The conversations around leadership, communication, and confidence revealed how much depends on emotional regulation, genuine connection, and finding one’s own voice.
I was deeply moved by the insights shared:

“Communication starts in the body, not just the mind.”
and
“Humans are wired for connection — healthy connection equals safety.”

This gathering was filled with powerful stories of women building strength through empathy and determination.

I’m truly grateful to Alexis Meruelo for her inspiring book Getting You Ready for Power — signed with a personal autograph that will always remind me of this meaningful day.

When AI Designs Your Dream Dress…
And I Have To Make It Real

More and more often, my clients come to me with photos of their dream dress… generated by AI.
In the image, I see an “ideal” woman with a flawless figure, the client’s face, and a gown that looks like a dream — but has no technical details whatsoever.
No darts. No construction. No logic of fabric behavior. Just a beautiful, unreal vision.

And then comes the question: “Can you make this dress?”

That’s the moment when the real conversation begins.
Because AI can create an image of emotion, mood, and fantasy — but it doesn’t create construction, doesn’t understand fabric properties, and doesn’t know the proportions of a real body.

My role is to extract the intention behind that vision:

• what the client truly loves about the dress,
• what effect she wants to achieve,
• how she wants to feel in it,
• how to adapt the design to her body, movement, and occasion.

AI provides inspiration.
Craftsmanship, experience, and construction technology — provide a real result that you can wear, touch, and fall in love with.

And that’s how a dress is created — not as a copy of an unreal image, but as a true, refined design tailored to the woman who will wear it.
