Favorite crusty man comment I’ve seen lately is “are they a good photographer or do they just put borders on their photos?” 🤣

First of all, I find it Highly amusing (and slightly enjoyable, if I’m being honest 👻) when people take it upon themselves to get worked up about someone else’s artistic choices… but also I’m just gonna hop up on a happy little soapbox to say: photography/design/art/literature (etc) “rules” are just guidelines, yeah? You learn em and then you break em, etc 🙂 so let us go forth and Do What We Want in our art and know that our clients are choosing us for how we treat them and how see the world, not for how well we follow rules that are actually opinions 😘

Your guests may report that I was following butterflies and bees around…it happens 😇 but we get to good stuff too. 🦋✨

Things that are important to consider if you want to have real control over the Vibe of your session: light. The fullness, the time, the direction, etc

Things you absolutely don’t HAVE to worry about during your session: the light 🫶 full sun, golden hour, partial clouds, “dappled light” (that spotty looking stuff often caused by tree branches, light rain?! If you’re flexible, so am I 🙂 I’m comfortable meeting at any time of day and I’ll be clear in communicating what our outcome may be and how we can play With the weather for the best outcome!
