Hello everyone!
As we move closer to summer, I am looking for sponsors! The money will go towards helping with the cost of care for Dove, training tools, and panels for a round pen! If you would like a tax deduction, it should go through Gentle Spirit.

Today was an unexpected day. I had been out in the barn cleaning stalls. Dove had come into one of the stalls as it had been open to the paddock. I thought to try haltering her again since she was in a confined space. Dove did a phenomenal job! She stood there calmly as I slowly introduced the halter. The halter got put on with no fusses! I am really proud of her and happy to finally get a halter on her since it had been a struggle. Now, the halter is a breakaway, therefore if she gets caught in pasture, the halter will break.

My original goal today was to introduce Dove to a saddle but plans changed. Dove would not let me approach her with or without a halter in hand. After an hour of trying to get her I changed my plan. Try to get her to let me touch her. I was able to get to her shoulder and pet her. I called it a night there. Here is a little snippet of approaching her. Hopefully tomorrow we get a halter on her. Sometimes theres good days and sometimes there's bad, in the end she's a sweet mare and will do amazing!

We took Dove home today! She did good with loading and haltering. She was more nervous when it came to unloading. Dove is a super sweet mare and is getting along with everyone!
